Where can I learn more about the indicators that Dr. Ayat uses?
The newsletters are a good source of information. Many issues
containing educational discussions of various techniques and indicators
that would tell us about the direction of the market, such as
discussions on Elliot Wave Principles and works of W.D. Gann
and works of many other great gurus of the past along with the
use of engineering principles that were previously discussed to
determine the direction of the market. These are a series of complex
mathematical formulas that is hard to explain here but on each
newsletter, some of these principles are discussed in detail.
What is Elliot Wave theory?
In the 1930s, inspired by observations found throughout nature,
the American Ralph Nelson Elliot discovered that social or crowd behavior
trends and reverses in recognizable patterns.
As a result of his findings, the Elliot Wave theory was established as a
system that describes and tries to make sense of the gyration in the U.S.
stock market based on the mathematical relationships found everywhere.
What is candlestick charting?
Although candlestick charting has been used by Japanese traders for centuries,
it has only recently captured the attention of Wall Street. Candlestick charting
is virtually compared to a bar chart. The two charting methods have many similarities.
First, the scaling is the same. Second, the overall shape of the chart is the same.
Third, both charts can be used in conjunction with other fundamental technical analysis tools
(i.e. moving averages, isolators, etc.) Fourth, the high/low range for each period is the same.
Basically, the only difference is how the opening and closing prices are shown. Using
Japanese candlestick charting is another important indicator that Dr. Ayat uses frequently
to determine the entry point and as well as the exit point on a particular stock.
How does the seasonality affect the stock prices?
Seasonality plays a major role in the price actions of individual stocks. This has
been proven over many decades. Stock prices have a tendency to move up or down sharply
in a particular season. Due to a variety of factors that are too complicated to explain
here, it is sufficient to say that knowing this affect on the price actions of individual
stocks would help investors to maximize their profit.
What is the weekly/daily alert newsletter?
Dr. Samuel Ayat weekly/daily newsletter is a member service that
can be accessed by fax or email during weekdays to give members
'buy' or 'sell' signals and forecasts. In this weekly/daily newsletter,
Dr. Ayat would provide, for short term traders, specific stocks
at specific entry and exit points based on the technical and chart
patterns of every individual stock. Members must subscribe to
monthly newsletter in order to be able to subscribe to weekly/daily
newsletter. Short term oriented traders who subscribe to this
weekly/daily alert newsletter would receive specific entry and
exit points on a particular stock during extended hours, which
includes pre-open or post-close, as well as during the trading day.
How many emails or faxes should I expect per day?
It all depends. Some days, members would not receive any, and
there are days that they would receive as many as 10 or more.
How many stocks does Dr. Ayat follow?
This varies as well. Many stocks are usually discussed on a typical
week and those stocks generally change from week to week.
When does membership start and/or stop?
You could become a member at any time by going to the Join Us page and sign up to become a registered member. Membership stops
when a written cancellation notice of the services is received prior to the renewal date.
Can I receive emails/faxes both at work and at home?
No. At this time we can only send alerts and messages to one specified email address or fax number per member.
I am interested in becoming a member. Can I see some sample email/fax
alerts before I join?
No. Emails/faxes are copyrighted material and are not available for public display.
Do you offer trial memberships?
No. We do not currently offer free trial memberships.
Would I be able to trade without using the Nasdaq Level II?
Yes. You can trade with any system that you choose.
Does Dr. Ayat offer opinion on trading options?
Options are a good way to hedge against our stock positions, but
on occasion, we do offer recommendations on options as well as
educational newsletters on options that would describe various options and how or when is best to use them.
How much money do I need to start trading?
You need to have at least $5,000.00 in order to be successful.
Do I have to buy or sell everything that is discussed on the weekly/monthly
emails/faxes?
You do not have to buy or sell anything. Nothing that Dr. Ayat
distributes is solicitation to buy or sell securities. Keep in
mind that you are the final arbitrator and the most important
decision maker in regard to your money and investment objectives.
